Mac McAllister has a diverse media background. A photojournalist, DJ at KYAC radio in Seattle, WA, and TV journalist at an ABC-TV affiliate in Eastern Washington.
His photographs and articles appeared in several national publications, including a record cover for Pacific Jazz Records. His videos were selected for 2005Art Expo International in Italy, and the Urban Flesh and Blood Exhibit held in Kaliningrad, Russia. Mac McAllister was one of the few American artist selected for these international competitions. In 2006 his videos were selected for the Emmy Awards in a new category, “Outstanding Achievement in Content for Non-Traditional Platforms.
He attended the Sorbonne in Paris, France for his third year of study at the University of Washington. For his final year, he won the prestigious Academy of Arts and Sciences Nicholl Screenwriting Regional Award 1988, and was a first round semi finalist.
He has a syndicated retro jazz & blues show “On Line with Mac” at PaxStereoTV, and Ning.com.
